The Gators received an early Christmas present from 6’3, 340 pound Visesio “Junior” Salt in terms of an unexpected commitment.
Salt (Walnut, California/Mt. San Antonio Community College) is ranked as the 9th best Junior College player and 2nd best Junior College Defense Tackle in the country.
Salt graduated from Brighton High School (Utah) in 2006 and was originally committed to the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Instead Salt took a 2-year Latter Day Saints mission before heading to Community College where he redshirted in 2009.
Salt can play both Offensive Line (where he was a JUCO All-American) and Defensive Line. His head recruiter at Florida was Frank Verducci, Offensive Line coach.
Salt has two more classes to finish at Mt. San Antonio and will enroll at UF in May.
Before his commitment, Salt was also considering Utah, California, Miami (FL) and Oklahoma.
