For the amount of Gators in the NFL, not many of them are fantasy relevant, which is surprising to this blogger. Here is a list of the Gators who might show up on your draft board this season.
Percy Harvin – Going in the 9th or 10th round. These migraine problems are really troubling, which makes him a stay away this year. I am sure he will drop to 12 or 13 after his recent collapse at Vikings practice. Even then, stay away. You will have no idea if he will suit up each week.
Louis Murphy – Currently going in the 17th round, he could be a late round sleeper in a deep league. Murphy, Chaz Schilens, and Darrius Heyward-Bey are going to be catching passes. Unfortunately it seems like Murphy is 3rd amongst the group. If you think Heyward-Bey is a bust like many people do, then Murphy could be a good late pick.
Earnest Graham – Going real late in draft. He is still stuck in the running back trifecta with Derrick Ward and Cadillac Williams. Ward looks to be the big dog of the group this year but if injuries occur, keep Graham in the back of your mind.
Jabar Gaffney – I like Gaffney as a late round sleeper more than I like Louis Murphy. He is comfortable in McDaniel’s system due to his time in New England and with Brandon Marshall out of Denver, Gaffney could pick up a lot of receptions this year as a possession receiver opposite Eddie Royal.
Aaron Hernandez – A sleeper tight end who caught a touchdown pass in a preseason game already. Not worth a late pick but he is someone to watch in the next few years as he could easily turn into a draftable tight end on the Patriots.
Tim Tebow – A cute pick, but no real fantasy value. I plan on taking him on my teams for karma reasons alone. He will probably see some Wild Horse running packages near the goal line, but will never be worth a start in a fantasy league.
